The Cheetah Safari is our most popular, covering a wide area and showing the very best of Kenya including Samburu, the Rift Valley and the Maasai Mara. The Serena upgrade option stays at the beautiful lodges managed by Serena and includes flights with British Airways. Mileages are quite long and road conditions can be poor on occasion, however you see more of the country and the wildlife is truly unforgettable.
MEAL PLAN → Prices include breakfast in Nairobi; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Safari; breakfast and dinner in Mombasa or Zanzibar.
ACCOMMODATION → Cheetah Safari uses 3 and 3½ star lodges, Cheetah Serena Safari uses 4 star lodges. On occasion it may be necessary to use alternative accommodation due to local availability and road conditions.
TRAVEL TIPS → Pack a mixture of warm and light clothing in soft bags weighing a maximum 15kgs, plus sunglasses, camera and insect repellent.

NB → Minimum age 7 years. Triple rooms on Cheetah Safari are on a request basis due to limited space at
Treetops. If flying back to Nairobi an extra lunch and airstrip transfer cost are incurred.
Both Cheetah Safaris are escorted by an English Speaking driver/guide from departure from Nairobi to return to Nairobi. Extensions are not escorted but assistance is provided by our local representatives.
Your itinerary
DAY 1 → Kenya Airways daytime flight from Heathrow. On arrival transfer to the Nairobi Serena in a Standard room and overnight.
DAY 2 → Drive to the beautiful Samburu National Park with lunch en route before enjoying a game drive in the afternoon. Spend the next two nights at Samburu Simba Lodge (approx. 195 miles).
DAY 3 → Morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu National Park.
DAY 4 → Drive to Mt Kenya National Park and the beautifully set Serena Mountain Lodge. Set under the slopes of Mt Kenya amongst dense forest, the lodge enjoys its own water hole frequented by wildlife day and night (approx. 100 miles).
DAY 5 → Drive via Thomson’s Falls to Lake Nakuru for a game drive and lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the national park and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge (approx. 180 miles).
DAY 6 → After breakfast drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve with lunch en route. Overnight at Mara Serena Lodge (approx. 185 miles).
DAY 7 → A full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. You may take the optional Balloon Safari (see Kuoni Plus) over the Mara. The Mara Serena is spectacularly located high on a hill with amazing views over the Mara River in one of the best locations for game viewing.
DAY 8 → Depart for Nairobi after breakfast arriving in time for a delicious lunch at Lord Eroll Restaurant (approx. 180 miles). You will return to the Serena hotel for the afternoon where you may wish to prebook a day room before your Kenya Airways overnight flight to Heathrow. Alternatively, extend your holiday to the Kenya Coast or Zanzibar.

DAY 8 → After lunch (extra cost) fly Mombasa Air straight from the Mara via Ukunda to Mombasa and transfer for three or more nights to the excellent four star Serena Beach Hotel & Spa in a Village room.
DAY 11 → This afternoon fly Kenya Airways to Nairobi, connecting with your Kenya Airways overnight flight to Heathrow arriving the following day.
ZANZIBAR
DAY 8 → Overnight at the Nairobi Serena in a Standard room.
DAY 9 → Kenya Airways flight to Zanzibar and three or more nights at four star Breezes Beach Club in a Standard room.
DAY 12 → Kenya Airways flight to Nairobi then fly Kenya Airways to Heathrow arriving the following day.
