DAY 2 → Transfer to the Holiday Inn for one night in a Standard room.
DAY 3 → Your safari begins this morning with a drive south to Tsavo West National Park. After lunch you will experience your first game drive and a visit to Mzima Springs, famous for its hippos and crocodiles and if you are lucky you will see them wallow and retreat around the crystal-clear waters. You will stay overnight at Kilaguni Lodge (approx. 150 miles).
DAY 4 → After breakfast, drive to one of the most popular parks in Kenya, Amboseli National Park, home to around 900 elephant. Located near Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, weather permitting you will be able to witness the snow-capped peak. Amboseli National Park offers an incredible chance to encounter the endangered black rhino and magnificent herds of elephant. Following an exciting afternoon game drive, you will spend two nights at Ol Tukai Lodge (approx. 100 miles).
DAY 5 → Experience early morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli National Park, where, with its low vegetation, it is renowned as one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa. Look out for lions, buffalo, zebra and a diverse range of birdlife. The park’s dry and dusty form is due to the volcanic ash that came from Mt. Kilimanjaro on its last eruption, yet the lush green areas are a result of a continuous water supply from the mountain’s melting snow.
DAY 6 → Drive via Nairobi to Aberdare, with lunch en route. You will then check in to Outspan hotel, and leave the majority of your luggage here in order to transfer to Treetops, your spectacular viewing perch for the night. This unique property is famous as the place where Princess Elizabeth ascended to the British Throne in 1952. Game is attracted by the saltlick and waterhole and with four spectacular viewing decks and a rooftop platform, it is the ideal place to capture incredible close-up photographs(approx. 250 miles).
DAY 7 → Drive north to Samburu National Reserve where you will spend the next two nights at Samburu Lodge situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River. Experience the African desert at its best and as a lesser known park it is less crowded, with game drives on both days giving you the opportunity to hopefully spot leopard, lion and cheetah (approx. 110 miles). This is the dry, north of Kenya and the reserve attracts wildlife not often seen elsewhere, so be on the look out for gerenuks – a unique gazelle with a long neck that stands on its hind legs to feed.
DAY 9 → Drive south to the Sweetwaters Sanctuary for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Visit the remarkable Chimpanzee and Rhino Sanctuaries. Incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the sanctuary is the only place in Kenya where the highly endangered and remarkably intelligent chimpanzee can be seen and houses the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa . Dinner and overnight stay at Sweetwaters Tented Camp, experiencing the charming ambience of under-canvas living. (approx. 150 miles).
DAY 10 → Drive via Thomson's Falls to Lake Nakuru for lunch. Here, due to an abundance of algae in the lake, flamingo famously line the shores. Sometimes (in season) all that can be seen is an incredible moving mass of pink! Enjoy an afternoon game drive hopefully spotting beautiful flamingos on the lake and the resident rhino. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge (approx. 110 miles).
DAY 11 → Drive to the outstanding Maasai Mara and take an afternoon game drive through Kenya's finest wildlife reserve and a haven for viewing magnificent animals. Three nights at Keekorok Lodge. (approx. 153 miles).
