Your itinerary
DAY 1 → Fly British Airways from Heathrow or any other regional airport to Frankfurt, then connect with your Air Namibia flight overnight to Windhoek.
DAY 2 → On arrival, transfer to the Hotel Heinitzburg for the afternoon and overnight.
DAY 3 → After meeting your English speaking pilot at the airport, board your small aircraft flight over the great Escarpment into the Sossusvlei area, an area of the Namib Desert with the highest sand dunes on earth. After landing you are transferred to your chosen lodge for the rest of the day at leisure. Relax for two nights in the tranquil area or take part in an optional afternoon activity (included in Gold option). Choose from Sossusvlei Lodge (bronze option), Le Mirage Desert Lodge (silver) or Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge (Gold).
DAY 4 → This morning perhaps enjoy a guided visit to Sossusvlei (included in Gold option) to experience this ever-changing landscape during sunrise. Your lodge also offers other optional activities that accentuate the beauty and splendour of the Namib Desert.
DAY 5 → After breakfast fly north over the dune landscape of the oldest desert on earth along the Atlantic coast to Swakopmund. Enjoy sights such as old diamond ghost mines, ancient shipwrecks, Langewand and Sandwich Harbour from a birds-eye perspective. In Swakopmund you have the days at leisure and can choose from a variety of optional activities offered locally such as boat cruises. Spend two nights at Swakopmund Guest House (bronze), Beach Lodge (silver) or the Stiltz (gold).
DAY 7 → Morning at leisure, then take an early afternoon flight via the Skeleton coast into Damaraland, dominated by steep mountains towering over meandering riverbeds and home to the Desert Elephant, Black Rhino and a myriad of free-roaming antelope species. Your lodge is situated close to the geological attractions that can be visited this afternoon or the following morning, the highlight of which is Twyfelfontein, Namibia’s only world heritage site and one of the world’s largest rock-art sites. Alternatively explore the surreal landscape on foot or search for the elusive desert elephant on an optional guided game drive. Overnight at Twyfelfontein Country Lodge (bronze), Twyfelfontein Country Lodge (silver) or Mowani Mountain Camp (gold).
DAY 8 → After a short flight you arrive at the southern edge of the magnificent Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves. Embark on an optional guided tour into the park in the afternoon or the next day to admire the rich diversity of wildlife. You may encounter 4 of the Big Five species as well as rare and endangered animals such as cheetah, Sable and the Damara Dik-Dik. Overnight at Etosha Safari Camp (bronze), Eagle Tented Camp (silver) or Ongava Lodge (gold, including one activity).
DAY 10 → After breakfast fly back to Eros Airport in Windhoek arriving late morning. You may wish to book a day room before your evening Air Namibia overnight flight to Frankfurt, then fly British Airways to Heathrow.
